Strengthening Community Capacity for Child Participation and Reporting in Lusaka District

The Master TOT for Lusaka, Ms Mwenya Kabwe,supported by the Project Officer under the Participation First, Children’s Voices Matter Project (PFCVMP), conducted a follow-up training for community representatives in reporting procedures and alternative report writing in Lusaka District.
The training was graced by the District Commissioner for Lusaka, Ms. Rosa Kayuni, who was represented by the District Administrative Officer, Mr. O’Neil Chiiya.
In her opening remarks, the District Commissioner reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to fostering development and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive and participate in matters affecting their lives.
The training aimed to strengthen knowledge retention and practical skills among community representatives in community-level reporting, child participation, and alternative reporting, enabling them to effectively document and amplify children’s voices on issues affecting their rights and wellbeing.
Through initiatives such as these, ZCEA continues to strengthen community structures and empower stakeholders to support meaningful child participation and accountability for children’s rights.
